About Us
Advocates for Greenville's Historic Park
In 2018, the City of Greenville formed an advisory committee to advise on a Master Plan for Cleveland Park. This group was comprised of individuals from different neighborhoods, backgrounds, and interests. When the Master Plan was completed, the group was disbanded.
Friends of Cleveland Park was formed in 2023 to serve as an advocate and voice for the Park. Our board has been carefully selected to include leaders in the community but also those of all different backgrounds to ensure that all voices are represented.

Mission
The mission of Friends of Cleveland Park is to speak for, promote, and protect Greenville’s historic and largest park to ensure its preservation for this generation and those to come. To seek to further connect Cleveland Park to the citizens of Greenville of all ages, races, abilities, and backgrounds, and to act as stewards of the natural beauty of the park and those who inhabit it.
